Marport Recognized as Finalist for the 2008 Innovation Award
Karl Kenny, Marport’s President & CEO, accepts the Certificate of Excellence from the Chair of CME, Glenn Mifflin
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) in partnership with National Research Council Canada (NRC) named Marport as an Atlantic/Nunavut Region Finalist for the 2008 Innovation Award for Innovative Excellence in New Technology. This Regional Award for New Technology recognizes innovative excellence in the development, adoption, and application of new technology in process or products. Marport was named to this list for the development of Software Defined Sonar technology. Marport management and staff joined with other local organizations and businesses at Quidi Vidi Brewery on Tuesday, December 9th to celebrate this achievement. Karl Kenny, Marport’s President & CEO, accepted a Certificate of Excellence from the Chair of CME, Glenn Mifflin, and spoke a few words to the audience on the future of Ocean Innovation.
Marport was pleased to be recognized by this program which has bestowed this honor on a select few Canadian companies every year since 2000.
